1. Purpose of Alerts & Notifications

The Alerts and Notifications module ensures that critical fleet-related events are communicated in a timely manner to responsible users through system notifications and email alerts, helping prevent delays, legal non-compliance, and operational disruptions.

2. Types of Notifications Supported

The system supports:

  • System Notifications (displayed within the application)

  • Email Notifications (sent to registered user email IDs)

3. Alert Categories

3.1 Insurance Alerts

Insurance Expiry Alert

Trigger Condition:

  • Insurance policy nearing expiry (e.g., 30 days / 7 days)

  • Insurance policy expired

Notification Content:

  • Vehicle Number

  • Policy Expiry Date

  • Insurance Status

Recipients:

  • Admin / Fleet Manager

Purpose:

  • Ensure timely insurance renewal

  • Prevent operation of uninsured vehicles

3.2 Maintenance Alerts

Upcoming Maintenance Alert

Trigger Condition:

  • Vehicle approaching confirmed service due date

Notification Content:

  • Vehicle Number

  • Last Service Date

  • Next Service Due Date

Recipients:

  • Admin / Maintenance Team

Purpose:

  • Enable preventive maintenance

  • Reduce breakdown risks
