High Availability using Proxmox
Only the application virtual machines were added to the Proxmox High Availability manager. Database VMs were intentionally left unmanaged because abrupt automatic migration of database servers may lead to data inconsistency.
The HA configuration provides:
Automatic restart after failure
Automatic migration when a node becomes unavailable
Recovery monitoring
Centralized VM management
This approach allows the application tier to recover quickly while preserving the database tier as a separate and more controlled layer.
